How to Reduce Image File Size for Email
Shrink large screenshots and photos so they are easier to attach and faster for recipients to open.
Start with dimensions
Many email attachments are oversized because the original dimensions are much larger than needed.
Resizing before compressing often gives you a better size reduction than quality changes alone.
Choose the right output
For screenshots or diagrams, PNG or WebP may preserve edges better. For photos, JPEG can still be the easiest way to shrink the file aggressively.
Compare the result before sending to make sure text remains readable.
